So you want to make a DragonBall Site? Alright then, I'll show you how to do it. First you're going to need a name. Some good DB-related words are: Majin, Saiyan, Cell, Goku, Vegeta, rage, Kaioken, Kamehameha, and XL. Here's a sample name: Super Saiyan Majin Cell's Rage 2K1 Another sample: Vegeta's Kaioken Rage Anime Domain XL After you choose a name, you need a logo or a top image as it's also called. I know, I know, you're thinking "How am I gonna make a logo?". Well, that's simple. Go to sites and pick images with character's faces, or images with just one character. Now, fire up a graphics program. If you only have MS Paint, you can do it too. Open a new image. Now open all the images you found online. Fill in a background color on your blank image. On each image you found online, take the lasso tool and roughly go around the character. Now, once you have a selection, choose cut then paste it onto your image. Repeat for the other pictures until you have a good collage effect. Now, take the text tool and type out the name you chose earlier onto your collage. The worse you are at spelling, the better. Save the image and now you have a spiffy new logo. For making the rest of the layout, go to a site that has a layout you like. Save all the parts of it to your hard drive. Now open them up in your graphics program. It's best to change some colors at this point. Once you've changed some colors, go to www.homestead.com. It's good to know some basic HTML so you can fix "your" layout up. If you don't know any HTML, fire up their easy-to-use building tools. Put the layout together. Now for some content! Go to your favorite site and save all of their info to your hard drive. Now put that info into pages on your site. Now for the images, media, and other stuff. Easy, just leech off the site you got your info from. Now you've got some keen content. Now that you have all of "your" content up, it's time to get noticed. First up, you need to go to www.namezero.com and get a domain. For the name: Super Saiyan Majin Cell's Rage 2K1, a good domain would be www.ssmajincell2k1.com. Once you have a domain, the next step to getting noticed is topsites. Join as many as you can, at least 20 of 'em. Put links to all of them on every page. It's time for a counter. Get a counter from somewhere and tell it to start counting at 190,000. The most important part of getting the word out about your site is having affiliates. Ask any and all sites for affiliation. Put up the buttons to the ones that accepted you. You might as well put up the buttons for the ones that didn't accept you. Who's to know? You should have about 30 affiliates. Now, sit back, relax, and steal some more content to add every once in a while. You now have your very own DragonBall website. That'll be five dolla. |
